Hiking the Mountains

Come with us and visit the mountains surrounding our vineyards. Behold the spectacular view of the city of Cafayate and its surrounding landscapes. While hiking, be sure to look to the skies for our native birds and enjoy the vibrant fauna and flora on the trails that this region offers. After the walk, enjoy a picnic by the river banks surrounded by nature and accompanied by a  fresh Torrontés. At the end of this adventure, you will be taken back to your casita in one of our all-terrain vehicles. This is a wonderful way to look at the different scenery that Cafayate has to offer.

Meeting Point and Route 

This activity starts at Piattelli Wine Resort Bell Gate.

The route is marked in the vineyards. 

The path goes up to the base of Cerro de la Cruz and the picnic takes place in the surrounding area.

Level of difficulty: medium to high. This activity will offer different meeting points that will determine the level of difficulty.

The adventure begins at 8 AM, the picnic will take place at 10 AM and you will be back to your casita by Noon!

Hiking the Vineyards

Discover the beauty of our vineyards while hiking among them. In this activity, you will learn about ampelology, The study of the cultivation and production of vines. Including the differences among grape varieties, characteristics about the soil and weather of  Cafayate, that make our wines so unique and known worldwide. We will wait for you with a picnic setting and some fresh Torrontés in a special spot within our vineyards. At the end of your picnic, you will be taken back to your casita in one of our all-terrain vehicles.

You have the option of hiking the vineyards in the morning or in the afternoon. 

​

Morning: The adventure begins at 8 AM, the picnic will be held at 10 AM and you will be back to your casita by 12 PM.
